Harlem's Apollo Theater joins with dance house Sadler Wells and The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture to present the American premiere of Breakin' Convention, a London-based global Hip Hop dance theater festival celebrating its ten-year anniversary.  Over one hundred artists from around the world - as well as local favorites - will participate.

On Thursday, the Schomburg Center will host a panel discussion presenting Hip Hop dancers and festival artists. The discussion, lead by Breakin' Convention artistic director Jonzi D, will investigate the evolution of Hip Hop as an art form, from its origins in the Bronx in the '70s to its expansion throughout the world.

This event is free; registration is required.
