To celebrate Black History Month, the Apollo Theater will host a free open house weekend from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 9th, and Sunday, February 10th.

Visitors will be able tour the historic theater, view famous memorabilia and attend live performances and movie screenings. Apollo Historian Billy Mitchell will be on hand as well as Amateur Night performers.

The weekend activities will include  a family instrument-making workshop and will conclude with a screening of the film Voices of Love: Whitney Houston and Her Family Tree. Registration is suggested for the family instrument-making workshop at the Apollo Education program.
