The Brooklyn Movement Center is co-sponsoring an International Anti-Street Harassment Week event as an “opportunity to collectively raise awareness that street harassment happens and that it’s not okay.”
The group is holding a "chalk party" in Bedford-Stuyvesant's Fulton Park.
"We'll be reclaiming this space, often reported as unsafe by women, by writing positive anti-street harassment messages on the ground," the event's invitation says.
The group is partnering with Charla Harlow to record stories of street harassment on video.
