EAST HARLEM — A man's body was found hanging from a tree in Central Park Monday morning in what appeared to be a suicide, the NYPD said.

The man, described as being in his 40s, was found fully clothed near East Drive and East 106th Street just after 9:45 a.m., according to police.

EMS responded and declared the unidentified man dead at the scene, officials said.

It wasn’t immediately clear who found the body or if police recovered anything else at the scene, the NYPD said.

The death appeared to be a suicide and no criminality was suspected as of Monday morning, police said.

The Central Park Conservancy referred all questions to the NYPD.
