BROOKLYN — A box-truck driver fatally struck a 64-year-old woman while backing out of a Canarsie parking lot Monday afternoon, officials said.

The woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was standing in the center of the doorway of 10110 Foster Ave., near East 99th Street, when she was by the box truck as it backed out of the garage area around 4:10 p.m., the NYPD said.

EMS responded, but she died at the scene, according to police.

The box truck belonged to T&R Delivery Services, sources said.

The 30-year-old driver, who remained at the scene, had not been charged as of Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.
