QUEENS — Two men robbed a Jamaica barbershop at gunpoint, stealing $2,200 in cash and a gold chain worth about $7,000, among other items, police said.

The thieves entered the shop at 92-06 170th St., just off of Jamaica Avenue on Saturday, shortly after 10 p.m., authorities said.

The men pulled out a gun and demanded property from six people, including employees and customers who were inside the shop, according to the NYPD.

The victims complied and gave them $2,200 in cash, a cellphone, a chain worth about $7,000, and other items, police said.

The thieves then fled on foot on 170th Street, authorities said.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.

Police released surveillance footage Thursday showing the men entering the barbershop.

One of the robbers was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, hat, blue jeans and white sneakers. He was also carrying a backpack. The other man was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
