Men Steal $3K in Medicine from Staten Island Duane Reade, NYPD Says

STATEN ISLAND — Police are looking for two men they said stole more than $3,000 worth of over-the-counter medicine from a Duane Reade on Richmond Road.

The suspects entered the pharmacy on Richmond Road near Todt Hill Road at about 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 3 and stole “numerous” packages of medicine, including Nexium, Claritin, Mucinex, Vicks, Flonase, Zyrtec and Prilosec before fleeing on foot, according to the NYPD.

The first suspect was wearing a burgundy-striped jacket and baseball cap and the second man had on a dark baseball cap and blue T-shirt. Both were described as standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds.

A manager at the Duane Reade declined to comment when reached by phone.
