BROOKLYN — A teenager was hit by gunfire from a shooter in a Mercedes during a drive-by shooting outside the Sumner Houses in Bed-Stuy, police said.

The victim, 19, was with a group of young men outside 979 Myrtle Ave. between Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Throop Avenue at about 6:25 p.m. Saturday, when a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan pulled up alongside them, the NYPD said.

A shooter in the car squeezed off at least four rounds, striking the victim in the back as he tried to run away, police said.

The suspects sped away without injuring anyone else, and the victim was brought to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, according to police.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the shooting, a police spokeswoman said.

The NYPD is now on the lookout for three suspects in connection with the shooting.

One was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, silver pants and silver boots, while second was last spotted wearing a red hoodie, black pants and red sneakers. The third suspect man was last seen wearing a red hoodie, a blue hat, dark jeans and blue sneakers, police said.
