MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS — A "Coming Soon" sign posted to 2828 Broadway hints the popular Korean grocery chain H-Mart is on its way to the neighborhood.

The company has several locations throughout Queens, but only has one store in Manhattan, at 38 W. 32nd St. The sign posted recently at the location was first spotted by the blog Harlem Bespoke, but the West Side Rag reported in February that H-Mart was suspected to be the new tenant.

Representatives from H-Mart could not provide details on an opening date.

The new H-Mart would be replacing the former D'Agostino supermarket that closed in April 2016 and would be across the street from West Side Market's 2840 Broadway location.

West Side Market's chief operational officer Ian Joskowitz said they knew of H-Mart's interest for about a year and noted that the two supermarkets will serve different audiences.

"I think they're targeting a specific market and we target everybody," Joskowitz said.
