
BUSHWICK — A handful of one-bedroom apartments renting for $1,039 per month in a new Flushing Avenue building are now available through the city's affordable housing lottery.
The nine subsidized units are located at 810 Flushing Ave., in a development that boasts a rooftop deck and a fitness center just down the street from the Flushing Avenue J, M Z stop. The ground floor of the building also houses Tender Tots daycare facility.

Eligible applicants must earn between $35,623 and $40,080 annually for a single person, or between $35,623 and $45,840 for two-person households.

Residents of Bushwick's Community Board 4 will get preference in half of the apartments, according to the city.
Market-rate one-bedrooms in the seven-story building, owned by Upper Class Development LLC, were going for $2,595, according to StreetEasy listings.
Applications are due by Sept. 25.
