ASTORIA — A man brought more than just his towel along for a dip at Astoria Park Pool, stashing a loaded gun in one of the facility's lockers, then fleeing after pool-goers spotted him with the weapon, according to the NYPD.
The suspect — caught on surveillance footage strolling barefoot with a bathing suit and towel — visited Astoria Pool on Aug. 6, where he placed a loaded 9mm Kel-Tech firearm in a locker, police said.
The man fled after witnesses spotted him with the weapon, according to police. He wore a blue bathing suit and a white baseball cap.
