UPPER WEST SIDE — It's the scenter of attention.

The "wellness brand" Saje Natural Wellness (pronounced like the aromatic plant "sage") opened its newest New York City storefront at 158 Columbus Ave. last week.

"When I founded Saje with [my husband] Jean-Pierre 25 years ago, I dreamed of bringing Saje to New York and providing a place where people could go to feel better and discover plant-based products that could help them on their wellness journeys," Saje's co-owner Kate Ross LeBlanc said in a statement.

The company's Upper West Side location on the corner of West 67th Street is the chain's second in the city — the first sits at 120 Prince St.

The Canadian company offers consumers its line of natural plant-based “essential oil blends” that purportedly can address pain, headaches, and stomach problems, and also improve skin health, sleep quality, and stress levels.

Saje’s most popular products include its portable "Peppermint Halo" — a Chapstick-sized tube of oil that is rubbed around the hairline and neck to “invigorate and soothe the head with a satisfying halo of peppermint.”

The store also offers a variety of aromatherapy devices and oils. “Liquid Sunshine” is a blend of grapefruit, bergamot, and lime meant to “fill your room with cheery radiance and uplifting spirits.” For those looking for something headier, the lemon, myrtle, and clary sage blend named “Brainstorm” aims to “spark new ideas and keep the energy flowing.” Saje also offers more traditional beauty products like lotions, soaps, and face scrubs.

Saje first expanded to the U.S. in November 2016 with two stores in California. It has since expanded to 14 locations in the Golden State, two in New Jersey, and two in New York.
