Man in Critical Condition After Jumping Onto 6 Train Tracks, NYPD Says

MANHATTAN — A man was struck by a southbound 6 train at the Canal Street station Friday morning after jumping onto the tracks, according to authorities.

The man was struck around 11:17 a.m. and was removed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The 4, 5 and 6 trains were affected by the incident, but service had returned to normal by 1 p.m., according to the MTA's website.
