QUEENS — Police released footage Wednesday of a suspect beating another man with a metal travel cup for stealing his massage gig, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.

The suspect, who goes by "Charlie" and can be seen in the video in a white T-shirt, grabbed the metal mug and clobbered and punched the victim, 30, who sat calmly on a bench in a spa at Roosevelt Avenue's New World Mall, near Main Street, about 11 a.m. July 19, NYPD officials said.

The victim had taken a client of the suspect's, sparking the spat, police said.

The victim was treated for a cut to his head at New York-Presbyterian Queens, police said.

Police said the victim was an acquaintance of the suspect.

The suspect, who stands about 5 feet 8 inches and 150 pounds, hadn't been arrested as of Wednesday morning, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
