By Aidan Gardiner | August 23, 2017 8:51am

MANHATTAN — A woman was randomly shoved by a man onto the subway tracks of the Second Avenue station and then helped to safety by good Samaritans as the suspect fled the scene Tuesday night, police said.

The 49-year-old woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was standing on the F train platform when the man shoved her about 8:50 p.m., NYPD officials said.

She cut her head, but helpful strangers on the platform pulled her back to safety, police said. There were no trains approaching at the time, police noted.

She was treated at Bellevue Hospital and listed in stable condition, police said.

The suspect was last seen in a black shirt with dark pants, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
