MANHATTAN — A man smashed a pair of glass bottles together and then used them to slash a worker inside a Hamilton Heights deli in dramatic surveillance video released by police, the NYPD said.

The suspect got into an argument over a cash debt with the 39-year-old victim inside the Hamilton Deli on Broadway and West 139th Street at 11:38 a.m. on Aug. 6, an NYPD spokesman said.

In the video, the attacker can be seen breaking the bottles before moving in and stabbing the worker while an accomplice blocks the door holds the victim.

The worker suffered cuts to his arms and wrists, and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.

The attacker was wearing a red baseball cap and a red shirt, police said. His accomplice was last seen wearing a blue shirt.
