ASTORIA — A cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries when a driver hit him and fled the scene Thursday night, NYPD officials said.

The cyclist, 59, was riding north on 12th Street when the car, which headed west on 36th Avenue, hit him in the intersection about 10:50 p.m., police said.

The driver continued on 36th Avenue before turning left on 11th Street and ditching the vehicle, police said.

The driver hadn't been arrested as of Friday morning, police said.

The cyclist was being treated at Mount Sinai Queens where he's listed in critical condition, police said.

A passenger in the car was questioned, but not charged, police said.
