Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver Near Ferry Terminal, Police Say

ST. GEORGE — Police on Wednesday released an image of a vehicle they suspect struck a pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident near the Staten Island Ferry erminal June 30.

A 36-year-man was trying to cross between ramps outside the St. George Ferry Terminal on June 30 in the crosswalk when he was hit by a dark colored Infiniti at about 6:12 a.m., the NYPD said.

The driver, who was in a vehicle with New York license plates, did not stop and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was taken to Richmond University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
