ASTORIA — Catch a flick with John Turturro in the neighborhood.

The actor will be at Socrates Sculpture Park on Aug. 16 for a free screening of "Romance & Cigarettes," the 2005 flick that he wrote and directed, organizers announced Thursday.

Turturro — best known for his roles in "The Big Lebowski" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" — will introduce the movie before joining the audience to watch it, according to the park's spokeswoman.

The event is part of Socrates Sculpture Park's summer Outdoor Cinema series, a partnership with Film Forum and Rooftop Films that brings free movie screenings to the waterfront venue for eight weeks in July and August.

"Romance & Cigarettes" is a musical set in Queens featuring an all-star cast, including Susan Sarandon, James Gandolfini, Kate Winslet, Steve Buscemi, Mandy Moore, Mary-Louise Parker, Christopher Walken and Elaine Stritch.

It's rated R, so the park advises attendees to leave the kids at home. The screening will start at sundown, though live music and food will be available beforehand starting at 7 p.m.
