GRASMERE — A driver mowed down a woman on Clove Road then dragged her body on the street before driving away, police said.
The 63-year-old woman was trying to cross Clove Road near Woodlawn Avenue on July 14 when the driver of a black Honda Accord struck her at about 8:05 a.m., the NYPD said. Police released video of the incident Tuesday.
The driver kept going, dragging the woman, then fled south on Hylan Boulevard, according to police and video.
The woman was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The suspect was driving a two-door Honda Accord with gold New York license plates, police said.
