BEDFORD-STUYVESANT —A burglar swiped a shopping cart load of electronics and other items from a neighborhood realty office earlier this month, according to a police report.

The suspect snuck into the office, located on Tompkins Avenue between DeKalb Avenue and Pulaski Street at 1:18 a.m. July 12 after breezing through an unlocked door, police said.

He proceeded to load three desktop computers, three desktop monitors, an Apple computer, a scanner, and a bundle of already deposited checks, loaded them into a shopping cart, and made his escape, according to police and surveillance footage of the incident.

The burglar, a man in his 20s or early 30s, was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, shorts, black sneakers, and a black hat, police said.

A representative of the realty office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit tips on the website.
