BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A bank robber sporting long red locks hit a Chase Bank on Bedford Avenue Tuesday afternoon, making off with a $1,000, according to police.

The bandit strolled into the bank at 975 Bedford Ave. at DeKalb Avenue just before 3 p.m. with a pair of notes demanding cash, police said. 

The teller forked over about a grand, and the woman fled, according to a police report.

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a black hat, was described as standing about 5-foot-7 and weighing about 165 pounds, police said.

Representatives of Chase Bank did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
