
THE BRONX — Police arrested a Bronx man Tuesday and charged him with attempting to rape a female clerk in 2015, according to the NYPD.
Investigators picked up Oumar Fofana, 20, at about 4:30 p.m. and charged him with attempted rape and sexual abuse, a police spokesman said.
Fofana, who lives on Third Avenue near East 169th Street, assaulted the 41-year-old worker in the clothing store on Aug. 1, 2015, according to the NYPD.
She managed to fight him off and was not seriously injured.
Police did not say how they finally connected Fofana to the crime or if he had any history sexual assaults.
He was expected to be arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court.
