PELHAM BAY — An argument turned violent outside a Bronx deli when one man smashed another in the face with a beer bottle.
Surveillance video shows two men talking at the deli counter before cutting to them stepping outside. It's there that a balding man, who police estimate is about 50 years old, winds up and hits another man, wearing a black hoodie, in the face with the bottle.
The incident, which occurred at. 1:40 a.m. in front of the Gourmet Deli at 3026 Buhre Ave. on May 23, left the 36-year-old victim with cuts and bruises on his face. He was brought to Jacobi Hospital for treatment.
Police are looking for a 250 pound, 5-foot-7 man with brown eyes and long, but balding, dirty blonde hair in a pony-tail. He was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt, gray pants and black shoes.
Police could not say why it took more than a month to release the video.
An employee who answered the phone at the deli did not have any information about the fight.
