Man Gunned Down in Ravenswood Houses, NYPD Says

QUEENS — A man was gunned down in the Ravenswood Houses in Astoria on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Terrell Smith, 26, was shot repeatedly in the torso at 35-51 21st St., near 36th Avenue, around 12:05 p.m., NYPD officials said.

Smith, who lived in the housing project, was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the shooting, police said.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.
