Man Fatally Struck by F Train at East Broadway Station, MTA Says

MANHATTAN — A man was fatally struck by an F train at the East Broadway station Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The man was hit by the southbound train about 3:13 p.m. and pronounced dead at the station, the FDNY and MTA said.

An NYPD spokesman said Wednesday morning that the man jumped in front of the train.

Service was disrupted for a couple of hours and resumed at the station at about 5:10 p.m., according to the MTA.
