Mayor De Blasio to Host Town Hall Meeting in Astoria Next Week

ASTORIA — Mayor Bill de Blasio will be taking questions from residents next week during a town hall meeting in Astoria as part of his "City Hall in Your Borough" initiative, in which hizzoner will spend five days working in Queens.

The event will take place Wednesday, July 19, at P.S. 70 at 30-44 43rd St., according to an announcement from the mayor's office. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the discussion will start at 7 p.m.

It's one in a series of town halls de Blasio has hosted across the city, at which he discusses local issues with attendees and takes questions from the crowd. He held one in nearby Long Island City in April.

The mayor will be working from a satellite office at Queens Borough Hall in Kew Gardens from July 17 to 21.
