WEST BRIGHTON — A stylish 32-inch tall cow named after bombshell silver screen star Marilyn Monroe is the latest addition to the Staten Island Zoo.

The miniature Scottish highland heifer — who sports a blonde shock of bangs that falls over one eye like Monroe — was donated to the zoo at 614 Broadway by the North Shore Rotary club. It will take up residence at the children's center, said Brian Morris, spokesman for the zoo.

"Marilyn Monroe" came from a farm in Wisconsin and can only expect to grow up to 3 1/2-feet tall, Morris said.

The chocolate-blond cattle originates from the Shetland Islands in Scotland and is considered a "heritage breed" of livestock that was raised before the industrial revolution, according to Morris.
