LENOX HILL — A man wearing a construction hat swiped more than $15,000 in laptops from a construction site outside of Memorial Sloan Kettering's cancer care center last week, according to police.
The man got into the construction site at Memorial Sloan Kettering David H Koch Center for Cancer Care at 530 E. 74th St., near the FDR Drive, through a gap in a fence on June 28, around 11:10 p.m., and grabbed eight Dell laptops and four Apple laptops, all valued at $15,300, authorities said.
Police describe him as standing roughly 5-foot-9-inches, weighing 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a bright blue construction hat.
The NYPD released surveillance photos of the man on Monday.
A spokeswoman for MSK said that the items taken were the property of Turner Construction, which did not immediately return a call for comment on Wednesday.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
