QUEENS — Two women were injured after a car jumped the curb outside a departure drop-off point at John F. Kennedy Airport, police said.
One driver was pulling out from the curb while another was pulling in outside Terminal 5 at around 7:45 a.m. Monday when they collided, sending one car up onto the sidewalk, a Port Authority Police Department spokesman said.
The driver struck a 59-year-old woman and 38-year-old woman, he said.
Both were taken to Jamaica Hospital, with the 59-year-old woman was treated for a possible broken leg, the spokesman said.
Terminal 5 was temporarily closed and then reopened at about 8:10 a.m.
Both drivers remained on scene and there were no summonses issued or arrests made, the Port Authority spokesman added.
