QUEENS — The NYPD's special victims unit is investigating after a 16-year-old girl was found unconscious and half-clothed on a Woodside sidewalk early Sunday, police said.
Officers were called to a corner near 47th Avenue and 70th Street at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and found the victim unconscious on the sidewalk, according to authorities.
She was wearing a bra, and her underwear was pulled down by her ankles. She also had bruises and scratches on her body, police said.
It's unclear who called the police to assist the victim, but they are investigating it as a sexual assault, officials said.
