MANHATTAN — Two women were beaten and stabbed in a fight with an assailant who then stole a cellphone from one of them on the Upper West Side Wednesday night, police said.

The two women, 23 and 22, were arguing with Dahieline Deaza, 26, who then pulled a glass object and stabbed one of them and punched the other in the face about 9:15 p.m. on Columbus Avenue between 109th and 108th streets, an NYPD spokesman said.

Deaza stabbed the 23-year-old woman in the torso, her back and in the stomach, police said. She was seriously injured and got four stitches at Mount Sinai St. Luke's, police said.

Deaza punched the face of the other woman, who was treated at an area hospital, police said.

The suspect made off with the phone of one of the women, but was then arrested for robbery, police said.

She hadn't been arraigned as of Thursday morning, records show.
