Man's Body Found in Central Park Pond, NYPD Says

MANHATTAN — A man was found dead in a Central Park pond Sunday morning, police said.

The individual, whose name and age weren't immediately released, was pulled from the waters of the Conservatory Pond near East 74th Street and East Drive about 8 a.m., NYPD officials said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear how the man died. The Medical Examiner will determine his cause of death, police said Monday.

The death comes about a month after the bodies of two men were pulled from lakes in the park a day apart.
