Man Molests 8-Year-Old Girl in Lower East Side Courtyard, NYPD Says

LOWER EAST SIDE — Police released surveillance video of a sex attacker who molested an 8-year-old girl in a courtyard on Essex Street, the NYPD said. 

The suspect approached the girl in the courtyard near Broome Street and touched her groin before fleeing on foot toward Grand Street around 7:25 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

The NYPD is offering a $2,500 reward to anyone who offers information on the suspect, and police have disseminated posters advertising the reward near the Seward Park Extension, Bowery Boogie reported.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
