QUEENS — The upcoming Forest Hills street fair, which offers live music, food and art, will also feature a tribute to Earth Wind & Fire and include several announcements about a film festival launching this August in Kew Gardens, organizers said.

The annual Forest Hills Festival of the Arts will take place June 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Austin Street, between 69th to 72nd roads, for the 17th time.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet local business owners and experience all the shops, restaurants and businesses Forest Hills has to offer,” the Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event, wrote in a statement. “After all Forest Hills is small enough to know you and large enough to serve you!”

Arts and crafts vendors from Forest Hills and beyond will be exhibiting jewelry, clothing, photography and homemade sweets, among other products.

The Sunday fair will also offer rides for the kids, international food, free live entertainment and concerts.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., children from local music and dance studios will be showing off their talent on the stage located on 70th Road, between Austin Street and Queens Boulevard.

There will also be a concert from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring Big Daddy Bruce Wayne playing soul music and R&B and blues artist LA Blacksmith who will perform a tribute concert to Earth Wind & Fire.

During this year’s event, which attracts about 50,000 people each year, attendees will also get to see for the first time the official poster of the upcoming Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema as well as the winning designs of its logo contest, the organizers said. The first 1,000 people to visit the festival's booth will also receive a tote bag.
