COURT SQUARE — The neighborhood will get its first brick-and-mortar Starbucks store this year, with the coffee chain planning a new location on Jackson Avenue near Purves Street, according to a spokeswoman.

The Starbucks location — news of which was first reported by the Court Square blog — will open later this year at 26-14 Jackson Ave., the company confirmed.

It will be the first standalone store in the area, joining a Starbucks cart located inside the nearby Citigroup Building, and another cart that's inside a Marriott Hotel near Queens Plaza.

The new Starbucks will be in the same building as the Chipotle location that opened last year, and will be just across the street from Toby's Estate, another coffee chain that  opened in January at 26-25 Jackson Ave.
