QUEENS — A FedEx truck struck a pedestrian in Ditmars Friday morning, officials and witnesses said.
The person was hit at the intersection of Ditmars Boulevard and Steinway Street at about 11:29 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.
The victim was “conscious and alert” when they were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, the spokesman added.
A local worker said the FedEx truck remained at the scene and there was no immediate information from the NYPD on whether the driver would be charged or given a summons.
Police did not immediately have information on whether a FedEx driver was involved.
A FedEx spokesman said they were aware of the collision and were "cooperating with the authorities as they investigate the accident."
