EAST VILLAGE — Shake Shack will soon open a new location in the East Village, the company has confirmed.
The beloved burger joint in March inked a 15-year lease to take over retail space in the office complex at 51 Astor Place, property records show.
The location — the first to come to the Lower East Side or East Village — will open its doors in the fall, a Shake Shack spokeswoman confirmed.
The chain already has 25 locations spread across the five boroughs.
News of the opening was first reported by the New York Post.
