QUEENS — The badly decomposed body found in an Oakland Gardens park on Sunday belonged to a teen who was viciously stabbed to death, police sources said.

Julio Vasquez, 16, was knifed several dozen times and his body dumped in Alley Pond Park near 76th Avenue and Cloverdale Road, law enforcement sources said.

A bird watcher spotted it around 1:55 p.m. Sunday after detecting a foul odor, the NYPD said.

It was unclear exactly how long Vasquez, who lived in South Jamaica, had been in the park, according to police. Sources said Vasquez was in a gang, but police refused to elaborate.

No arrests had been made and there was no suspect description.
