Man Beaten by Knife-Wielding Teen Robbers in Hell's Kitchen, NYPD Says

MANHATTAN — A pair of teens knocked a man to the ground and robbed him at knifepoint in Hell's Kitchen Tuesday morning, police said.

The 35-year-old victim was walking home and had reached 11th Avenue and West 50th Street about 12:30 a.m. when the teens punched him to the ground, where they continued kicking him, an NYPD spokesman said.

They snatched a cellphone that fell from his pocket and also took his wallet holding $250, police said.

One of the suspects then pulled a knife and threatened to kill the victim before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim was treated at Mount Sinai West, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

One of the suspects was described as standing about 5-foot-5 and weighing 130 pounds, while was described as standing about 5-foot-6 and weighing 180 pounds, police said.
