21-Year-Old Woman Shot in Possible Jamaica Drive-By, Sources Say

QUEENS — A 21-year-old woman was shot in the back as she was walking on a Jamaica street Friday, police said.

The woman was in front of 106-46 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. around 2:15 p.m. when she heard shots fired and felt pain, officials said.

The victim, who got shot in the lower back, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where she was listed in stable condition, according to the NYPD.

Police sources said that it might have been a drive-by shooting and that the shots possibly came from a black Nissan driving south on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard — but investigators were getting conflicting information.

The motive was not immediately clear, and it was unknown if the victim was the intended target, sources said.

The investigation is ongoing, authorities said Monday.
