FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Joe Coffee has a new home inside the World Trade Center's transportation hub.
To mark the occasion, the branch, dubbed Joe Westfield WTC, is welcoming its new neighbors with a special "Pay What You'd Like Coffee Happy Hour," from 4 p.m. until closing time on Friday, its opening day. The offer applies to all coffee drinks, like its seasonal summer drink, the Rosemary Spritz, an cool concoction made from Rosemary syrup, espresso, ice, vanilla and a splash of cream.
The WTC Oculus branch is the New York-based chain's 15th location.
Joe Coffee has started an expansion across the city, thanks to an investment from restaurateur Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, with new coffee bars rolling, including its first-ever Brooklyn spot at 162 Hicks St. in Brooklyn Heights.
The partnership also means that Union Square Hospitality Group's catering division is supplying Joe Westfield WTC with a new selection of sweet and savory pastries, like a toasted coconut macaroon with white chocolate ganache in Joe’s signature shade of blue.
Joe Westfield WTC is on the West Concourse Balcony Level at the World Trade Center transportation hub. Its hours are 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
