THE BRONX — A 74-year-old store clerk suffered a concussion when shoplifting teens shoved her to the ground after playing a game of keep-away with her, NYPD officials said.

One teen swiped something off the wall of Sam's Store at 481 E. Tremont Ave., near Washington Avenue, and then pretended to toss it over the clerk's head to his friends, one of whom carried a cane, about 1:18 p.m. April 10, police said.

They then ran out of the store with the clerk in pursuit, but shoved the woman to the sidewalk as he fled, video shows.

The woman suffered a concussion and cuts to the back of her head, police said. She was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she's listed in stable condition, police said.

The suspects, who are all between 14 and 16, hadn't been arrested as of Wednesday morning, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what the trio stole.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
