QUEENS — Police are looking for a man who they said placed a skimming device on an ATM in a Forest Hills bank.
Surveillance photos captured the suspect installing the device on the ATM in the Astoria Bank at 63-72 108 St. on Saturday, April 8, shortly after 9 a.m., police said.
According to a flier distributed by the 112th Precinct, the equipment consisted of a "deep insert skimming device and false panel pinhole camera," which sought to collect information about customers' debit cards and their pin numbers.
Authorities said the suspect was last seen wearing a green waist length jacket, a dark colored bandana and glasses.
