CHELSEA — A diner struck a woman in the face at a violence-prone Dallas BBQ after the two got into a fight over a bill, the NYPD said.

The victim, a 32-year-old woman from Pennsylvania, was trying to pay for her meal inside the eatery at 261 Eighth Avenue, at the corner of West 23rd Street, around 5:20 p.m. on April 29 when she got into an argument with a 39-year-old woman from The Bronx, police said.

At some point during the argument, the 39-year-old hit the other woman in the face, leaving it scratched and swollen, the NYPD said.

Police didn’t say whether the two women knew each other, or if the attacker was also a customer.

The 39-year-old was arrested at the scene, and the victim refused medical attention, police said.

A manager working at the restaurant Thursday declined to comment on the incident.

The restaurant was the site of a high-profile incident two years ago in which an attacker smashed two gay men with a chair inside the eatery. He was sentenced to nine years in prison for the assault.
