ASTORIA — Police are looking for a motorist who stabbed another driver and slashed the tire on his car during a road rage incident in the neighborhood, according to the NYPD.

The suspect, a man driving a black Audi, got into a verbal argument with another 40-year-old male driver as he was traveling south on Crescent Street in Astoria shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

Both drivers pulled over on Crescent Street near 30th Drive, where the suspect threatened to kill the victim, grabbed his cellphone and then slashed the rear tire on the victim's car, according to police.

The man then used an unknown object to strike the other driver, puncturing the victim in the left shoulder before fleeing in his car south on Crescent Street.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, police said.

There had been no arrests as of Thursday morning, according to the NYPD.
