WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — An uptown driver was so enraged that someone tried to take his parking spot that he slashed the other man with a screwdriver, police said.

Christian Colon, 42, got into a fight with a 36-year-old man over a parking spot near 456 W. 167th Street, at approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, police said.

Colon slashed the man with a screwdriver, causing "laceration and bleeding," according to a criminal complaint from the Manhattan District Attorney's office.

He was arrested that day and charged with two counts of assault in the second degree, court records show. He was released without bail and is due back in court June 6.

His lawyer did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
