UPPER WEST SIDE — They're no spirits in the material world.
Sting and his wife, actress Trudie Styler, are selling their penthouse apartment at 15 Central Park West for a cool $56 million, according to a listing posted on the Corcoran Group Real Estate website.
That's more the twice the amount the celebrity couple paid when they purchased the 16th- and 17th-floor duplex in the ultra-luxury condo building at the corner of West 61st Street in 2008.

The 5,417-square-foot space, custom-designed for the former Police frontman and his spouse, features three bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, views of Central Park from both levels and an expansive private terrace.

Would-be buyers could ultimately be swayed by the penthouse's freestanding fireplace separating the living room and library, which is "informed by the shape of the stairs and the Fibonacci Spiral," according to the designer's website.
The building offers such amenities as a 75-foot skylit lap pool, private restaurant and game room.
Sting and Styler are reportedly leaving all that behind for a triplex in another Robert A.M. Stern-designed building at 220 Central Park South.
