WILLIAMSBURG — A pair of Williamsburg Middle School students were arrested and charged with a sexual attack on a fellow student in an isolated stairway of the building, police said.
The boys, ages 15 and 14, took the 14-year-old girl into the South Third Street school stairwell between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., after school hours, and forced her to perform oral sex on them on April 28, authorities said.
"This incident is deeply disturbing and we are working in close partnership with the NYPD as they conduct an investigation," Department of Education spokeswoman Toya Holness said. "Nothing is more important than the safety of students and staff and we are providing the school with additional support. It was immediately reported, families have been informed and we will ensure swift follow-up action is taken."
The teens will be tried as juveniles in Brooklyn Family Court for third degree sexual abuse.
The attack was first reported by the New York Daily News.
