BROOKLYN BRIDGE — This is only a test.

An NYPD drill that sent officers clambering atop the Brooklyn Bridge Tuesday morning sparked confusion from onlookers who took to social media.

NYPD official said the individuals climbing on the bridge were police officers and Emergency Service Unit workers conducting an official drill, but the department did not provide further details.

“What the heck is going on on top of the #brooklynbridge right now? Jumper or something? #nyc,” Instagram user Dylan Craine wrote, after posting a picture of the cluster of people standing atop the bridge just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
